Welcome to FMC!

Welcome to FMC!
The Fantasy Modeler’s Club of the Peninsula, as it was originally called, or FMC, as we like to call ourselves, was founded in the San Francisco Bay Area in 2002 for the express purpose of bringing together modelers who love fantasy themes such as monsters, girls, comic related, science fiction, TV and movie characters, and any other non-“real” subjects. Our philosophy is simple:
FMC is a builder’s club and you must be an active builder of fantasy-related kits

If you are interested in fantasy models and/or enjoy attending social gatherings but never seem to find the time to build models, this club isn’t for you. If your main modeling interests are outside the fantasy realm, this club isn’t for you.
FMC is education-oriented and non-judgemental (we don’t count rivets)

Our goal is to advance our skills and to innovate. A key feature of our meetings are shared tips and techniques. Past tips have included lighting, sound, sculpting, groundwork, improving clear canopies, etching “glass”, and painting eyes. We don’t welcome unsolicited criticism, negative comments, or related regarding build-ups brought to meetings. Of course, positive input, encouragement and compliments are always welcome.
FMC is non-profit

FMC doesn’t charge fees to join or participate. You only have to be an active building desiring to improve your craft.
If you live in the San Francisco Bay Area and want to attend our monthly meetings, see the Join FMC Today link for details. If you like our approach and want to form a branch of the club in your area, more information will be available soon. Thanks for your interest in fantasy models and, until we meet talk again . . . Keep Building Fantasy Kits!

So, what do you think? Want to join? Interested in building fantasy kits? Then let us know!
