FANTASY MODELERS CLUB TERMS AND CONDITIONS

The Fantasy Modelers Club (“FMC”) is a non-profit informal association (read, group of enthusiasts) dedicated to the advancement of the joy of fantasy model building. By participating in our internet Site (“the Site”) you (“the Participant”) are agreeing to the following Terms and Conditions and the rules of conduct contained herein. If you don’t agree to any of the Terms and Conditions or the rules of conduct contained herein, you’re only recourse is to immediately discontinue use of the Site.

"FMC", "Fantasy Modeler's Club", Related Logo and Artwork Are Trademarks of Patrick H. Shannon (“founder”).  All information within the Site is copyright 2002 - 2009 by Patrick H. Shannon. Images of popular characters, vehicles, and related properties and icons are the copyright and property of their respective owners and are used for artistic reference and subject matter only. No infringement is intended on any such copyright holder. Upon written request by a copyright holder we will immediately remove any images held under copyright from the Site.

  1. The FMC logo or any copyrighted materials on this Site may not be used without prior written permission.

 

  1. Model building puts the Participant in contact with potentially hazardous objects, tools, mediums, and materials (“model building materials”). The Participant agrees to read all instructions associated with all model building materials prior to use and to only model under competent adult supervision and in a safe, well-lit, well-ventilated area and with all proper safety equipment in use (including but not limited to chemically resistant gloves, a respirator, and a spray booth). FMC is not responsible for the acts of the Participant in any of Participant’s activities. The information contained in this Site is to be considered as entertainment only and is provided AS-IS. Any application of the information contained herein is at the Participant’s sole risk. Participant expressly agrees to hold FMC, its founder, and all related persons and entities, harmless for any injuries sustained by Participant, regardless of cause, scope, amount, or theory of law, now and for all time in the future.  PARTICIPANT PARTICIPATES IN THE MODEL BUILDING HOBBY AT THEIR OWN RISK.
  1. The fantasy model hobby contains adult themes, including depictions of violence, horror, and nudity.  The Site is for mature Participants only. Those easily offended by such imagery shall immediately discontinue use of the Site.

 

  1. No purchase is necessary and no membership fee will ever be charged to participate in the Site.
  1. Limited numbers of model kits may be for sale from time to time on the Site. Funds from the sale of these kits are used for the ongoing operations of FMC and shall not construe a departure from or a violation of the non-profit status of FMC.

 

  1. Areas of the Site require a user ID and password, including the blog area and the members-only area (together “secured areas”).  As an FMC Participant, you agree that you will not create more than one user account, and that you understand that the use of an indecent screen name, profanity, and language and/or images that are considered obscene and generally improper will not be tolerated. You will not use or manipulate the blog or other areas of fantasymodelersclub.com in inappropriate ways, and will not alter any fantasymodelersclub.com software or code. 
  1. Site Participants agree to hold FMC harmless for any slander, threats, or other communications or actions taken by any Participant(s) against any other Participant(s).

 

  1. You may be asked personal preference questions to ascertain the suitability of your participation in local meetings (via the Join FMC Today link). We will never ask for your social security number or date of birth at any time.
  1. FMC is not responsible for lost, distorted or misdirected entries or links. FMC reserves the right to publish any submitted pictures, text, or other materials submitted to our blog, the Site, or any related FMC publications.
  2. Everything you see or read on this Site is protected by copyright unless otherwise stated and may only be used according to these Terms and Conditions. FMC does not warrant or represent that your use of materials displayed on this Site will not infringe rights of third parties not owned by or affiliated with FMC.
